U-cups, sometimes referred to as U-ring seals, are a seal that is very commonly used in pneumatic cylinders and other hydraulic applications. They get their name from the very distinct “U” shape the seal appears to have if you cut one in half.
They are excellent for low pressure and low speed situations.
